Edgeware is a high-performance, self-upgrading, Wasm smart-contract platform being built on Substrate, the Polkadot ecosystem. Edgeware is designed specifically to facilitate advances in on-chain governance for blockchain protocols. Participants vote, delegate, and fund each other to upgrade the network, and are entitled to governing rights via its native token, EDG.

Frequently Asked Questions

How does a validator node qualify to be in the active set?

There is currently a max of 60 active validators on the Edgeware network. There is no minimum amount of tokens required to validate. A validator is active as long as the total nomination allows the validator to breach the top 60.

What is the staking process?

You can access the Edgeware network here

Then you must either create a controller account and send 5 to 10 EDG to that account.

You can then select how much EDG you would like to stake from your stash account via the controller account, and choose which validators you would like to nominate.

More information can be found here
